Houseboat Adventures offers houseboat rentals for a unique vacation experience. We are located on magnificent LAKE OF THE WOODS, in Kenora, Ontario Canada.

Lake of the Woods is an intriguing lake with beautiful beaches and coves dotted with a maze of thousands of islands. While cruising on a houseboat you can discover your own secluded beach to swim and relax, fish, hunt or explore. Enjoy a vacation with everything aboard you need for an unforgettable holiday.

Over the years we have welcomed groups of fishermen, hunters, honeymoon couples, friends and families, people celebrating anniversaries, reunions, birthday surprises and more. A house boat gives you flexibility - stay at the same beach all week, or cruise to another site every day or two to explore or fish a new location, the choice is yours.

You cannot beat houseboating for a family vacation. There is something to do for everyone - cruise to a sand beach and the children can play to their hearts content. Mother Nature has given Lake of the Woods some great beaches and we have marked many of them for our guests. There are literally thousands of islands to explore. Water-skiing, tubing, swimming, crayfish gathering, hiking, canoeing, sunbathing, scuba diving, snorkeling or fishing are just some of the family activities to enjoy. Some of our houseboats are equipped with water-slides, which are very popular, even for the “”big kids”". Our 68′ boasts a hot tub on the upper deck. At nighttime enjoy the sunset, make a campfire, roast marshmallows, tell stories or view the spectacular Northern Lights, if you are lucky. Oh, and did we mention the fishing?

For the fisherman, traveling with Houseboat Adventures means there are no more long boat trips to and from the best fishing holes. You can indulge yourself by having a sandy beach and your own fishing boat right at your doorstep, fish morning, afternoon or evening. Cast off the back deck, your morning coffee in hand with the calm quiet waters before you and view the spectacular sunrise. Fish for walleye, bass, muskie, or northern pike just to name a few species that are abundant on Lake of the Woods.

For the hunting enthusiast, a houseboat rental allows you to be near your hunting location of choice. Lake of the Woods is abundant with white-tailed deer, moose, black bear and ducks.

Kenora and area is a photographer’s paradise. You can enjoy nature at is best, whether you enjoy simply viewing all the abundant wildlife, birdwatching or capturing the photo of the great bald eagle or the walleye, before it got away.

We are located in Central Canada, Northwestern Ontario, right in downtown Kenora, Ontario, a 2 1/2 hour drive north of International Falls Minnesota and, just inside the Ontario/Manitoba border, a 2-hour drive east of Winnipeg, Manitoba and situated in the heart of Ontario’s Sunset Country.

Despite its wonderful complexity, Lake of the Woods is well-charted making navigation easy. We provide our guests with a complete package of information to assist in planning their Houseboat Adventure.
