The lake, set in Sproat Lake Provincial Park, welcomes you with warm waters that are great for swimming. In addition to houseboat rentals, The Fish and Duck Marina has slips for 50 boats, and we can moor your boat for the day, week, month or year round. Visit us at the Fish and Duck Pub when you are in the neighbourhood. The Fish and Duck Pub, on beautiful Sproat Lake on Vancouver Island, BC, is open year round for your enjoyment. In nice weather you can sit and relax on our balcony overlooking the lake and see the Martin Mars Water Bombers directly across from us.

Originally the Martin Mars flying boats were produced for the US Navy, and were used as troop and cargo transports among the islands of the Pacific. Using the lake as a runway the world’s largest water bombers, with a wing span of 200 feet, scoop up to 27 tons of water from the lake surface as fly off to extinguish wild fires. It is an exciting site to see! And there’s no better place to see them than the Fish and Duck Pub.
