Wake Zone Luxury Houseboat Rentals Inc. will begin it’s eighth season this spring here on Lake Ouachita in Royal, Arkansas. We are located and operate out of Crystal Springs Resort & Marina which is family owned and operated. We are one of four houseboat rental companies on Lake Ouachita, we are also the newest. Lake Ouachita was featured on Good Morning America as one of the three best vacation destinations for a houseboat vacation! The Corps of Engineers say Lake Ouachita is the second cleanest lake in America.
We differ from the others in a few important ways:
Wake Zone Luxury Houseboat Rentals is 100% family owned and operated. We are smaller. Wake Zone Luxury Houseboat Rentals has four boats… the others have six to twenty. Wake Zone Luxury Houseboat Rentals are high-end luxury boats heavily equipped and decorated. We pride ourselves in our service. Wake Zone Luxury Houseboat Rentals grants our customers wishes regardless of what they may be. Wake Zone Luxury Houseboat Rentals includes everything in the rental price, no hidden costs. Our prices are very similar to the others. Our boats are very well maintained and thoroughly cleaned before each rental. Personal service…always.
Wake Zone Luxury Houseboat Rentals is family owned and operated by the Harris and Kindt families. With combined houseboat experience on Bull Shoals Lake and Lake Ouachita, Shane Harris and Donny Kindt have 20 years combined in the houseboat rental industry. Suzanne Kindt and Wendy Harris (sisters) have taken their years of experience in hotel management and party planning and used them to provide a fantastic vacation atmosphere.
When our families started Wake Zone Luxury Houseboat Rentals in 2001, our goal was to provide the nicest, most luxurious houseboats on Lake Ouachita, and to provide the most outstanding customer service possible. We achieve these goals year after year by limiting the number of houseboats in our fleet and by meeting and exceeding every customer’s need.
Wake Zone Luxury Houseboat Rentals knows how important family summer vacations are to people. When our guests choose to vacation with us we take each group or family as an individual challenge. A challenge to provide them with a life changing experience, an ultimate vacation experience!

Thanks for the warm hospitality during our rental last month, by far the nicest houseboat rental we’ve done and we’ve done a few. The lake is just a gem. The boat was simply spectacular, from the obvious attention given to every detail in stocking the kitchen to the great audio/video system everything was well beyond our expectations. We will certainly be back…. Great job guys, keep it up.
Rating:My wife, Julie and I had a great time on our 16 X 66 Foot “Royal Flush” Houseboat vacation with our sons Grant (21), Austin (19), Matt (16) and Frank (our 4th “adopted” son, 19, on his first family vacation) and Macy (21), Grant’s girlfriend. Macy helped balance it out a bit for Julie, and was a big help come chow time with 5 hungry men!
Our week was full of fun on the water docked on one of the 200+ remote islands in the middle of a massive 40,000 acre, very clean and clear Lake Ouachita (wa-shi-taw), which is in the middle of Arkansas, just west of Hot Springs, in the middle of a National Forrest (no development and plenty of soaring eagles and other wildlife, simply God’s amazing beauty). Our boys all said it was the best vacation ever. Of course, what else do you expect from four young men being outdoors on the water doing adventurous, and sometimes dangerous, stuff any time of the day we wanted too? Great fun! …
